Shrimpy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to anyone else. Everything Shrimpy remembers — your reminder times, your streak, your settings — stays on your device.
This data is stored using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults), shared only between the Shrimpy app and its Home Screen widget via an Apple App Group — a private, on-device mechanism that lets Apple's own operating system pass your data between the app and widget you installed. This data never leaves your device, is never sent to any server, and we have no access to it.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification system, based on the timing you choose in the app. No notification content or timing data is sent anywhere outside your device.
Shrimpy does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of Shrimpy adds an optional feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated first, and the update will be reflected in the app's release notes.

Does Shrimpy give medical or health advice?
No. Shrimpy is a friendly reminder app only. It sends notifications on a schedule you choose to encourage you to sit up tall or take a movement break. It does not sense your posture, does not diagnose anything, and is not a substitute for professional medical, physical therapy, or ergonomic advice. If you have pain, discomfort, or a health concern, please consult a qualified professional.
Do I need an account?
No — Shrimpy works fully offline with no sign-in.
How do I change reminder timing?
Open the Reminders tab and tap either reminder to adjust its interval, active hours, and days.
Shrimpy — a friendly reminder buddy. Not medical or professional health advice.
